Lucas County Sheriff coverage of Jerusalem Township:
Dear Jerusalem Township Residents, you may have seen in the news that our newly-elected Sheriff has announced his plan to charge Townships for Sheriff Deputy coverage beginning 1/1/2023. You may also be aware that Jerusalem Township does not have the financial resources to afford the $500,000 per year price tag for Lucas County Sheriff law enforcement services.
Please mark your calendars for March 23, 2021 at 7:00pm. Sheriff Navarre has agreed to join the Jerusalem Township Board of Trustees public meeting to discuss his plans and answer questions from the community.
